Reading, Writing and Being Generally Awesome

I have no idea what I'm doing.
Frenchman's Creek - Daphne du Maurier More like 3.5 Stars. I loved Rebecca, but this one didn't run as smoothly for me. Dona was very selfish and she annoyed me very quickly--though her love for her children was endearing. The ending, while more realistic for the story and the era this novel is set in, didn't work out like I'd hoped. The prose was beautiful and descriptive, though I'd expect nothing less from Daphne du Maurier. The plot dragged at some points, but I still enjoyed this a lot. It wasn't as eery as I had expected, but it didn't disappoint (too much). I'll definitely be reading more of the author's work.
